ELECTRODE CLEANING After removal, wash
out gel or cream from electrode cavity by using tap water.
|
ELECTRODE STERILIZATION We do not recommend any particular sterilization method. However, high temperatures or autoclaving are not recommended, as the leadwire insulation can be damaged. Do not leave electrodes soaking in sterilization solution longer than necessary. Do not immerse leadwire connectors in any solution.
|
ELECTRODE CARE Electrodes should be
stored in a clean, dry container. Since they are solid Ag-AgCl,
should the sensor be damaged, it can easily be resurfaced.

ATTACHMENT of WASHERS to OTHER MEDICAL DEVICES |
|
In Vivo Metric washers (adhesive disks/collars) can
be used with medical devices other than electrodes, like
therapeutic magnets, stethoscopes, etc.
The devices and the skin
should be clean and free of any oily residues. The skin can be
cleaned with skin prep pads (E436).
|
 |
The device should be cleaned by following the
manufacturer's instructions. Select the appropriate washer size.
Attach adhesive side to the device (on the side that makes skin
contact). Hold washer's blue tab and remove paper cover. Apply
assembled device/washer to the skin. |
