SLIM-TRODE reusable Ag-AgCl biopotential
skin electrodes are designed
for applications requiring light weight and smaller
electrodes.
To keep the overall dimensions to a minimum, no
electrode housing is employed. The back of the sensor
element is encapsulated in a hard epoxy coating; leaving
only one side and the rim exposed for contact.
An insulated, high quality wire is permanently connected to
the
electrode and encapsulated with epoxy (the entire assembly
is waterproof).
The sensor element is made with a 1 mm thick, solid Ag-AgCl
sintered
disc. Overall thickness is approximately 3 mm.
Electrodes can be applied with or without gel to the
skin. However, Tac Gel (E447) is recommended because it
provides the benefit of a gel bridge, along with sufficient
adhesive to hold the electrodes in place. For more secure
attachment, Macroporous Surgical Tape (E456) is recommended.

WIRES Slim-Trode standard wires are 1 m (40")
long, unshielded and insulated (shorter and longer wires are
available). These wires are very strong, flexible and
fatigue resistant. Offered in white, green, brown, red,
black, blue and gray. Two wire types are available for most
models:
|
|
Light Duty wire: 1 mm diameter (L). Light weight and very pliable.
|
|
 |
Heavy Duty wire: 1.7 mm diameter (H). Exceptionally strong and durable.

Also available with shielded leads. |
|
|

TERMINATION is a 1.5 mm DIN
socket (S).
Pin termination is available
for animal studies only. |
