In Vivo Metric's reusable silver-silver
chloride sintered bare sensor electrodes are available in a variety
of models and sizes for use in electrochemistry,
electrophysiology, precision bioelectric recording and
stimulation.
The Ag-AgCl mix is compressed into various
configurations, no fillers or binders are used - only pure
silver-silver chloride. A pliable silver wire is
imbedded in the Ag-AgCl matrix to provide electrical
connection by soldering or other means.
The resulting pellet, disc and wire
electrodes have the consistency of soft metal. They
are easily reshaped by sanding, filing, cutting or drilling.
They can be cemented and sealed to other materials or
devices with epoxy adhesive.
Unlike plated or chlorided silver, IVM's Ag-AgCl
electrodes are homogeneous and solid throughout.
Should the surface become damaged or contaminated, a new
surface can be exposed to restore the electrode's original
performance.
Because of their stability and
reproducibility, Ag-AgCl electrodes make excellent STANDARD
and REFERENCE electrodes. |
