In Vivo Metric (IVM) was founded in Los Angeles in 1965. In close collaboration with the UCLA School of Medicine, IVM designed and manufactured Electromagnetic Blood Flow Transducers and Cardiovascular Occluders. These medical devices were the main products for more than twenty years. In recent years the blood transducer line was terminated. In Vivo Metric continues to be the leading manufacturer of cardiovascular occluders.
In 1974 IVM developed its own manufacturing process for sintered Silver-silver chloride Electrodes. There was immediate acceptance of these electrodes due to their superior performance and the variety of configurations offered. Today, In Vivo Metric is the leading manufacturer of Reusable Sintered Ag-AgCl electrodes.
For the last thirty years IVM has been located in Northern California, in the wine country. The founder continues to be very much involved with R&D and production. His long experience is still at your service whether you are in need of technical information or custom made electrodes or occluders.
In Vivo Metric has been designing, manufacturing and distributing instrumentation for the Biomedical Sciences since 1965.
